Jill D. Caravaggio is an attorney at the Law Office of Jill D. Caravaggio.  Jill’s practice areas include litigation with an emphasis on creditor’s rights and commercial collections including bond claims and mechanic’s lien claims.  Ms. Caravaggio is an experienced litigator at both the trial and appellate levels in Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia.  In addition, Jill has experience in representing clients in varied alternative dispute resolution forums including mediation, private arbitration and arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.  Jill represents creditors in the United States bankruptcy courts defending preference actions, objecting to bankruptcy motions, filing lift stay motions and handling various other bankruptcy creditor related actions.  Jill has been admitted to the Maryland bar since 1987 and the District of Columbia and Virginia bars since 1989.  Jill is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, Maryland/District of Columbia Creditor’s Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar, Virginia Bar Association, Frederick County Bar and Maryland State Bar Association, Inc.  She earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Maryland.

Jill is a frequent speaker for the National Business Institute and has been making presentations since 2007.  Jill speaks on various topics including collecting and maximizing your recovery in bankruptcy, how to collect a judgment, how to avoid counterclaims, how to locate assets and how to file a lawsuit.

Jill represents nationally known suppliers and has successfully collected claims on their behalf including mechanic’s liens and bond claims.  Jill has drafted agreements and credit forms for home improvement contractors and suppliers.  She frequently litigates collection of claims on behalf of home improvement contractors in courts and before the Home Improvement Commission.

Neville McLaren, Paralegal

Neville went to Good Counsel High School in Wheaton and University of Maryland, College Park obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. He has over 20 years of experience in the legal field, and knows every possible answer to everything office related. The staff would be lost without him! He lives in Gaithersburg with his wife and daughter and enjoys the gym and playing racquetball.

Kelly has been working in the legal field for over 30 years, and has excellent customer service skills (and patience)! She loves to spend time with her family and friends, and while she also loves working, she especially loves being dragged to CrossFit class by Jill after a long day of work :).
